Casio has made plans to ship out three brand new digital cameras in October of this year. Both the 9 magpie EX-Z250 and the 10 mega pixel Exilim EX-Z300 will incorporate the third generation of Casio’s Exilim Engine image processor. This new engine allows the cameras to correct for low light automatically or over exposed scenes and helps to power a new “make-up” feature that retouches faces in a photograph.

Panasonic released the new Lumix DMC-FZ28 digital still camera - which features a 27mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-el Marit lens with an 18x optical zoom. This is the next digital camera to join the FZ series and like its brothers it is equipped with a high-powered zoom in a compact body. The FZ28 also boasts 10.1-megapixel resolution and adds a number of enhanced features that boost user fun and convenience, represented by an advanced iA (Intelligent Auto) mode.

Canon has released the shipment and pricing information for the already announced Rebel XS digital SLR. According to their reports the new SLR will be available and on the store’s shelves in August. It will be available with an EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens for $699. The lens does come separately for $199.

The new Sony A350 is equipped with a sensor resolution of 14.2 megapixels and has a space of its very own in the digital SLR market alongside the Pentax K20D. It has a price of £449.99 – which is decent when you think that it comes with an 18-70mm zoom lens. The two lens kit is priced at £649.99 and comes with a 55-200mm zoom.

Fujifilm has released the new A850 – a stylish new camera that will join both the A920 and the A900. Fujifilm boasts that the new camera offers the best in high-end technology to the average user who plans to use it for everyday family events. They said that even though it might just be a simple point and shoot camera they are not willing to sacrifice the image quality.
